Parque de Atracciones
A Theme Park in the Heart of the City
This is a theme park located within the city itself and fully accessible by tube/metro or bus, and car of course. It's not as big as say the Warner Theme Park but it's got some really hair-raising rides and in my books it's a great theme park and more reasonably priced than others. For those of you who liove gravity rides, this is the place for you!
Parque Warner
All American Theme Park a stone's throw from Madrid
A full size American style theme park, located about 30 minutes from Madrid. You can reach it by car, train or bus. A little on the expensive side, particularly if you are accompanying kids but not planning on taking any rides, however it is a full day out so it's all pretty relative. Some great rides, and you genuinely feel like you are in some great big American Theme Park in the USA.
The Wax Museum
Real Life heroes and villains
The kids will enjoy seeing a lifelike wax Columbus calling on Ferdinand and Isabella, as well as Marlene Dietrich checking out Bill and Hillary Clinton. The 450 wax figures also include heroes and villains of World War II.
